• Long Haul Transmission

Summit Communications Limited (SCL) has already established a state of the art active network of its own deploying the finest equipment for its transmission network system. We have utilized our own passive network and have successfully been able to provide services to numerous Active Network Service (ANS) Providers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

We have built a Fiber Optic Active Network to connect to various locations originating from Dhaka through which our clients are connected. Most of our clients prefer using our transmission network as its primary transport system since our network is highly dependable and cost effective. Our main Point of Presence (PoP) is located at Karwan Bazar. The transmission network branches out from our main PoP to other PoPs across the nation.

Our Dhaka-Narayangonj active transmission network is routed via Kaptan Bazar, Doyagang, Jatrabari, Jurain, Shympur, Kotwali, Pagla, Panchabati, Chashara, Godnail. The network span length is roughly 49km. It is connected in ring layout. We have placed active devices in 6 sites (PoPs) in this route and we are able to provide transmission services from any of these PoPs. Our network capacity in Dhaka – Narayangonj network is STM-16. We can cater client requirements in E1s or MB level.

We have established our very own active network in Dhaka-Chittagong long haul route. This long haul network is routed from Dhaka to Chittagong via Modonpur, Eliatganj, Laksam, Choddogram, Feni, Mirersorai, Shitakundo. We are able to provide connectivity from E1 upto STM-64 level interface as our network bandwidth capacity in this route is STM-64. We have 7 PoPs in this route and can provide the aforementioned bandwidth from all the PoPs.

  • Apart from our very own tailor made network, we have also obtained STM level bandwidth in few long haul routes from BTCL in lease terms. For Dhaka end we have used our own underground network and connected our active device in our Dhaka main PoP from Moghbazar BTCL.

In Dhaka – Khulna long haul, we have taken as unprotected STM-4 level bandwidth capacity which is approximately 700km in span length. Dhaka end is connected from Moghbazar BTCL and Khulna end is connected from Khalishpur BTCL.

In Dhaka – Benapole long haul, we have acquired an unprotected STM-5 level bandwidth capacity which is roughly 550km in span length. Our Dhaka end is connected from Moghbazar BTCL and Benapole is connected from BTCL Sharsha, Jessore.

In Dhaka – Bogra long haul, we have taken an unprotected STM-1 level bandwidth capacity which is roughly 200km in span length. Our Dhaka end is connected from Moghbazar BTCL whereas the Bogra end is connected from Banani (Bogra) BTCL.

In the Dhaka – Sylhet long haul route, we have acquired an unprotected STM-4 level bandwidth capacity which is approximately 250km in span length. Our Dhaka end is connected from Moghbazar BTCL and Sylhet end is connected from Circuit House (Sylhet) BTCL.
